A Clinical Study on the Effect of Pancron Tab. For Digestive Symptom



Abstract
Generally they have expected the digestives to relieve various nonspecific gastrointestinal symp-toms and for the purpose, many digestive drugs were developed and evaluated the effect. The drugs have included pancreatic enzyme, bile salts, cellulase etc. Many drugs and reports were presented. But the methods to evaluate the subjective symptom were not objective and had many bias. We tried to evaluate symptom of digestion to have less bias, and statistical significance.
64 patients were included in the study, they were group in three arms, and Pancron were prescribed as to the symptom and the design of study. A comparative analysis were performed for the digestive symptoms and the effect of Pancron.
The results as follows
1. In postoperative period, the preventive effect of Pancron presented in 17-38% of all patients.
2. The improve rates of digestive symptom were 54-67% as for symptom respectively.
3. Statistically significant effect were anorexia, epigastric discomport, epigastric fullness, belching
in preventing digestive symptom in postoperative period.
4. And in the improvement of symptom, anorexia, epigasrtic discomport, epigastric fullness, belch-ing had statistical significance.
Conclusively Pancron has a acceptable effect for the digestive symptom in nonspecific patients as well as patients in postoperative period.
